From Teena Hucul ~

Sweet Spirit of our brother Jesus,

Sometimes I have so many commitments. I feel overwhelmed and the stress makes my life feel dull and unexciting. Right now I take this cue to step back, if only for a moment. I breathe in and out saying silently, “Peace, be still. Peace, be still.” My life is bigger than my schedule for I am more than human. I am divine, and wonderfully made, one of a kind in the world. The light of my living soul is one with the Christ Spirit born in Jesus. I am filled to overflowing with the love of Jesus, generous and warm as a baby loves. I call all those I love to be washed and filled with His generous warm love. I include souls who struggle, who feel alone and who are surrounded by war. The powerful love of Jesus embraces everyone. Suddenly, in the light of God we are One. Thank you sweet Spirit for giving me this time to receive the true spirit of Christmas. And so it is. ~ Teena Hucul

From Susan Green ~

This is one of my favorite times of the year. Although I'm not so fond of the cold weather to come, I just love the beautiful changing colors of the leaves. I love them sparkling in sunshine; raining down in the breeze; crunching beneath my feet.

This is the Divine order of Nature. Change happens. And it can be beautiful. No matter what is happening around us, we can make the choice to look for the good within all change; to love those around us; to be responsive instead of reactive; and take the opportunity to practice patience and compassion.

I just read an article in Unity Magazine about harpist/community activist, Destiny Muhammad. A quote from her was shared that stopped me in my tracks at the depth of the Truth within:

"It's not about what I want in the moment but about what my assignment is in the moment."

My assignment. We are here to be love and to express that love as our teacher Jesus did. I choose to put off my ego in moments when it may want to react. Instead, I choose to listen. And then respond. It's not about me. It's about us. James 3:13: "Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom."

I invite you to stop for a moment as you are reading this - or come back to it when you can pause - and take a deep centering breath in...... Now release it slowly, relaxing your mind and body; and then affirm; "My assignment is love. Thank you Spirit."

Then be still and listen for the still small voice of God within which is your divine nature. Listen for what is yours to do. Listen and know you are loved; you are loving.

Enjoy these quiet times. Be the Love you came here to be.

From Dottie Klammer ~

Divine Source,

There are two things I can do with the hands you've given me....

Hold On....and Let Go.....

I choose to let go of anything that stands in the way of my good. I can choose to hold on or let go of a thought as well. I will let go of thoughts that take me down the road of uncertainty and doubt. My connection with you, my Source, keeps me in touch with who I am and what I'm about. I choose to hold on to this connection but when I lapse into times of being overwhelmed or encumbered, I renew that connection and let go. Thank you, God, for comforting me when I get lost and for being the everlasting light that never fails to light my way,

Affirmation: I am One in strength with my Source. And so it is.

From Kelley Lane ~

In times of need, in times of fulfillment: let us immerse ourselves, and float in God's love, intoning: thank you, thank you, thank you!

Seizing our inner, ever flowing, vitality, we are whole, healthy, happy, prosperous, and abundantly blessed.

Opening our hearts, love flows as kindness, gentleness, compassion, oneness. We feel its infinite pulse within us, and throughout our world.

Let us seal this love with the delight of giggles and laughter, lighting our countenances, tickling our souls, filling us with expansive joy... and openness.

We are light... and free!!!

From Allison Strickland ~

I’ve been reading the book Be the Light that You Are by Debra Landwehr Engle and this prayer is based on inspiration from it. When you are ready find a comfortable spot, settle in, take a deep breath and release. Soften or close your eyes. As you take another deep breath move down to your heart center where divine spirit is always present.

A Course in Miracles says we are the light of the world. I know divine light shines deep within me. I nurture this spirit within as I go about my day. I envision the light in others and affirm our connection in spirit. I appreciate the beauty I see in the world around me – trees, sky, hawk, chipmunk. I remind myself to look for divine spirit that is present in all things and I feel the warmth expand within me. I care for and grow the light within as I remind myself that I am a perfect expression of God’s love. I spend time in my heart and in daily gratitude for my blessings. I send love to those that I care about and extend love throughout the world with my thoughts. I feel my light grow stronger. I am grateful for this practice. I am grateful and so it is.

Passages from The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes ~ ‘Sorrow Flees From Me’

As the Great Joy of Life comes into my Soul, flooding me with Its wondrous light, all sorrow and sadness flee from me.

I shall not grieve, for nothing is lost or gone from me.

My own cannot be kept from me.

My own knows me and will follow me wherever I go.

I am filled with the Joy of living and Great Peace that comes to all who believe.

I am made glad forevermore.

‘A Song of Joy’

There is a Song upon my lips today; it sings of the glad heart and the happy ways of Life.

I will listen to my song, for it carols to me the glad tidings of Great Joy, of Love and Life.

It tells me of the Wondrous Journey of the Soul and the Boundless Life in which my life is hid. I am filled with joy.

New Year affirmations from the DailyOM ~

I am grateful for who I am becoming.
I am worthy of manifesting everything I desire.
I am exactly where I need to be and life is happening for me, not to me.
I am strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Every challenge I experience serves a purpose to align me into my highest path.
I am getting closer to my goals every day. Everything that is meant for me will come into my life.
Setting healthy boundaries keeps me from disappointing one of the most important people in my life: me!
I am wealthy and abundant and money flows to me.
I am inviting love and healing into my mind and body.
I will leave everyone I come across today feeling happier simply because they had the opportunity of spending time with me.
I am going to learn to trust myself by treating myself as I would a friend, following through on my promises to myself.

From Stephanie Metzger ~

Dear Sweet Spirit,

I will not miss You this Christmas season. I will simplify my activities and traditions and focus on the celebration of Your birth. I am grateful for You, the Prince of Peace. In this advent of expectation I am drawn to Oneness. I find you in all my encounters with others. I find hope in every situation and hope sings the notes of my heart. I am the pure light and love that you brought into this world. As light and love flows through me, I experience joy in all that I do. I affirm that this is an Advent of hope, peace, joy, and love as each of these dwells between each of us.

From Barbie Nunnally ~

We are pure spirit. We always have been and always will be. We are part of the Universal Mind, God! Within we are strong, secure, and calm.

The Universal Mind knows all of our problems and solutions. Ask and we shall receive. We do not need to worry or fret about the answer. We do not have any expectation about the answer. Relax. Let go and let God. The answer will stream to us when we are ready to receive it.

We experience the hand of Divine Intelligence and creativity when we observe the beauty of nature: The luscious green of the trees dancing as the wind passes by, the blue sky with fluffy white clouds, the many colors of the rainbow, the harmonizing song of the birds and their oneness as they fly in formation.

We are part of God’s creation, and we have the power to create. What we think and say create our reality. So, we think only good and affirm our Divine Identity.

We do not accept temporary obstacles. We wait and affirm:

God is always with me. Divine Wisdom illuminates my path sending radiant beams of light to me, through me and around me. I dwell in peace, love, and security. For I am never alone! And so it is. Amen.

From Carrie Simmons ~

This is a GREAT Story!!! I read a story called “The Lord’s Club.” The club had a rule that only lords were admitted to the premises. But at the first meeting, there was no one to cook, no one to wait on the tables, no one to wash the cups and saucers. There was nobody to do any work because they were all the children of lords. Finally, there wrote down each job on a piece of paper and each lord drew a lot. One of the greatest lords drew the lot that said “guard,” so he went to stand at the door. A second one drew the cook’s lot, so he went to the kitchen to prepare tea. A third drew his lot and found that he was supposed to wash the plates. A fourth drew the president’s lot. A fifth was the secretary. That day, their club went very well.

The next time they met, the previous president became the guard. The treasurer became the cook. Because of their destiny, they each did their own kind of work. Nonetheless, they were all children of lords and they never lost that feeling.

In the same way, we all do different kinds of work, but none of us has a permanent position. Just as the members of that club always remembered that they were lords, in the same way, you must remember that you are the supreme Truth. We are all the children of the Lord.” ~ Resonate with Stillness

From Miracles in Prayer, Robin Duncan

Dear God, I’d like to call ahead and make a reservation for peace. Regardless of my circumstances or the severity of my challenges, I trust that You are walking with me and there is nothing to fear. Thank You, in advance, for a happy, peaceful, abundant, and miraculous outcome to my situation that is far beyond my greatest expectations. I trust that You are skillfully handling every detail on my behalf. With Your Divine guidance I am assured that the right people, resources, events, and circumstances are being perfectly aligned for my greatest happiness and highest good. I gratefully accept the abundance of Your blessings and trust that Your swift response to my request is a natural part of Your love for me. Thank You for replacing all of my fears, misperceptions, illusions and self-judgments with the abundance of Your love and miracles. Your will be done. Amen.
