Garland of Life
from Rev. Laura Bennett
Since Europe’s early days, the first of May has been celebrated as a time of hope and regeneration, symbolized in the abundant life that springs forth in the northern hemisphere. Garlands of flowers and greens have been woven together to honor the beauty of nature and the fertility of pro-creation. Your life is like a garland with flowers grown from the fertile moments of challenge and enriched by the greenery of your faith in the abundant blessings of God. Healing comes when you grow from the many experiences woven into your garland of life, and when you share with the world the beauty of what you have become. Enjoy the month of May with its celebrations and remembrances, and let it remind you of how great it is to be alive!
“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).”
