GRACE AND A MIXTURE OF METAPHORS from Love In Action Coordinator, Mary Curley
Grace---it is a pretty word. Say it, “GRACE”. It sounds like a crystal chandelier with myriad prisms reflecting Light. A soft gentle breeze slips through the prisms bringing tinkling, celestial music and a shower of sparkling, shimmering brilliance.
The dandelion globe is a mini-chandelier with myriad seedlings just waiting for a breeze, or a puff of breath, to waft them away to fertile ground. Each seedling represents a form of God’s Grace, perhaps Comfort or Courage. Inherent in each seedling is Forgiveness; it always goes hand-in-hand with Grace.
The River Grace flows freely nourishing everything in its path and making the ground fertile. However, The River Grace cannot flow where it is blocked by dams of resentment, anger or fears. It takes a constant vigilance to eradicate these pesky dam builders and allow The River Grace to flow freely.
Grace---it is a pretty word, whether seen as Light, Principle or the ever-flowing Love of God.
