Happy Earth Day from Reverend Valorie Kay

Happy Earth Day from Reverend Valorie Kay

Earth Day falls on Monday, April 22 this year.  I am reminded of an ecological poem that I wrote when I was in grade school. Even as a child, I felt the importance of ecology.

There are many ways we can reuse, reduce, and recycle. Join me in helping to “green up” Unity of Bon Air by using washable plates, cups, and silverware whenever possible. Let’s form a Green Team, and together we can make a difference!

Check out what we can do locally and globally to take care of our pretty planet.  I leave you with the lyrics to “This Pretty Planet” and a link to listen to this wonderful tune by Tom Chapin and John Forster.

“This pretty planet spinning through space,

You're a garden, you're a harbor,

You're a holy place,

Golden sun going down,

Gentle blue giant spin us around.

All through the night, safe 'til the morning light.”
