As we start a new month and season, I share these lovely words from Rev. Scott Awbrey:
“In the month of May, the earth becomes a prayer - blossoming, breathing, bringing new life into the world. On May Day, we celebrate the turning of the season, the dance of renewal, and the sacred marriage of earth and sky. It is as if creation leans forward, whispering, ‘Begin again.’ In prayer we join the sacred rhythm, not only speaking to the Divine, but listening - letting our hearts be tilled like soil, open to renewal. And just as spring doesn’t rush its blooming, we too are invited into the slow and steady power of regeneration. Within us lies the same Life Force that beckons the bud to bloom, the spirit to rise, and the soul to remember what it came here to be.”
I am inviting us to remember
to be,
to listen,
to bloom,
to rise,
to begin again, and
to celebrate the new life that is all around us, and within us, eager to flow into the wild, wondrous one life that is at work and play as love.
