Claudia sang her original song “Beautiful” on Sunday, which includes these lyrics:
“You are beautiful
Golden like the sun
Shine your light on everyone
You illuminate the night like a morning star
I see you as you truly are
You are beautiful, beautiful.
Please listen to my words and try them on for size
the impact that you make you never realize
You can’t hide what you are inside.”
The stories that I told on Sunday spoke about beautiful hearts, beautiful actions, and embracing love. It is what happens when we listen to the Divine wisdom within and we become rich in Spirit. Then, at the end of service, beauty spread out before me like a rainbow and everything I had shared became a living drama of love.
One member fell in the sanctuary after most people had left, and in a split second a nurse was holding her hand and telling her not to move. She was in pain being told to breathe. Another nurse knelt on the other side while 911 was called and another person was sent outside to meet the ambulance. I went in the hall to find her family member, and when we returned there was a circle of members in prayer. She was absolutely enfolded in love. The EMS crew arrived, and she was put on the gurney and whisked off to the hospital.
Meanwhile, in New-Rock Hall, backpacks were being stuffed for children we have never met who need some school supplies. Lots of love energy put together 87 bags of goodies!
What I saw was beautiful, stunningly beautiful - the Christ within each person shining such love. The comfort, the prayers, the expertise, the willingness to stay and help with an important service project, all created this symphony of love. I want each ONE of you that is a part of this community to know YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. I am so grateful to spend my days immersed in the music of love that is UCBA. Please know that the light and love you shine impacts not just UCBA, it impacts the world. We are creating a world that works for all - one thought, one prayer, one action and one moment at a time.
You are beautiful, stunningly beautiful.
