I want to share with you the lovely view I have so often of this church. It can bring me to the edge of tears. I watch people showing up as angels – as messengers of God’s love, grace, and peace.
Two members just spent a couple of nights with two different members immediately after surgery. What a gift after such a vulnerable experience. It makes a big difference. I know angels who show up with food for people who are experiencing a difficult time, whether it is the loss of a loved one or a health challenge.
This says you are not alone. You are loved. Others show up with flowers that bring color and cheer. Beauty to remind people that your church family has you in their hearts.
Other angels arrive to make us smile and dance. This just happened on Saturday night during the beautiful concert. It happens every Sunday morning. The MOU (Men of Unity) angels set up the hall, cook and serve food and clean up so all we need do is behold the Christ in one another and enjoy good food. Our fellowship angels do an amazing job of hospitality every Sunday. Our prayer chaplain angels listen and hold sacred space for us all. They remind us that the truth of us is divine love – a very important message. Some angels spend time in our YFM rooms, others laboring in the gardens, gathering people for fun activities, creating Spirit groups and on and on.
I invite you to join me in beholding the angels and thanking them for shining so brightly here and beyond our walls. Each of us is a messenger of love created to boldly proclaim love’s presence. What a grand calling!

Oodles of love,
Rev. Patty ❤
