Imagination - The Power for June

Imagination - The Power for June

Rev. Scott Awbrey writes this sweet piece on imagination:

“Imagination is the sacred faculty that allows us to see beyond what is immediately visible and become receptive to what Spirit is seeking to express through us. Imagination is a spiritual power that helps us envision possibility, healing, wholeness, and new life. When we align imagination with faith, wisdom, and love, we begin to picture a greater good – not only for ourselves, but for our relationships, our communities, and the world around us.”

I invite us to prayerfully activate our imagination. We can be curious. What would I love to see happen? What would create space for healing to occur? What belief shall I release to be open to newness?
Jesus used stories and metaphors to crack open people’s minds to see a new perspective. Jesus told people to do the seemingly impossible. To a paralyzed man he said, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." To a dead man, he said, "Lazarus, come out!" Jesus’ imagination was on fire.

It doesn’t matter what is happening in the circumstances around us. The key thing is what is happening in our mind. May we allow the fire of Spirit to spark our imaginations and live beyond the limits of our situations. In every moment, we have the power within. How amazing is that?!

Oodles of love,

Rev. Patty
