Our Children Our Greatest Treasure

Our Children Our Greatest Treasure

I must share a bit more about Myrtle Fillmore, because she remains quite an inspiration. She was loving, brilliant, well-read, well-educated and was a deep spiritual thinker. She believed that women could take responsibility for their lives and choose their thoughts and actions. She broke through the boundaries of her day not because she was rebellious, but because she followed her inner wisdom and intuition.

Myrtle created Wee Wisdom to teach children about New Thought principles through stories, games, puzzles, poems, and artwork. “The mission is not to entertain the children but to call them out. To be always entertained is to be dwarfed and dependent. To be called out is to follow the harmonious law of the soul’s unfoldment.”

Myrtle believed prayer was as important for children as for everyone else. She believed children have inner strength that we as adults can help them draw out. “See your children as eagerly growing souls. See them as individuals unfolding their own faculties and powers, individually doing that which seems to them best at the moment.” She had no patience with parents who pushed their children or criticized them for being overweight or stubborn. “Why dear, he has a right to be stubborn if others keep at him too persistently! He must release his own powers and be permitted to try them out unprompted much of the time. Let God work within him.”

May we continue Myrtle’s lead and take a stand for growing healthy young people defined by their inner light and guided by our light rather than our egos. We celebrate the amazing potential within our children around the world. Let’s spread the word -You are the very light of God!

If you would like to work with our young ones, please see Janet.  Enjoy the song below by Rev. Michael Gott.
