It’s a great time to take in the beauty outside. I believe we need to connect with nature now more than ever. It calms our being. It expands our hearts and brings our minds into focus. When our body makes direct contact with the earth, it can have positive effects on our overall health and well-being.
This is called “grounding.” On Sunday, I read these words from Rev. Dr. Howard Thurman. I want you to see them and take these powerful words into your life:
“The magic of wind, sun, and rain creates a climate that nourishes every living thing. It is law, and more than law; it is order, and more than order - there is a brooding tenderness out of which it all comes. In the contemplation of the earth, I know that I am surrounded by the love of God.”
May we allow our consciousness to soak in love as we observe the beauty of our planet. We can feel the sun, the breeze, hear the birds, and feel the vibrations of the trees. It is great medicine and freely given. Below is a video on grounding, if that is a new idea to you.
Peace be with you,
Rev. Patty
