I continue to process the feelings, and the joy, of my visit to Memphis and hearing the story of Church Health. It is the story of Anything is Possible. A clinic that grows from a three bedroom home in 1987 to a space of 150,000 square feet, providing every aspect of health care today for those with limited incomes.

Monday, November 13th, 2023, was World Kindness Day. This year’s theme is “Be Kind Wherever Possible”.
After finishing this book study, I would like to know what opened up for you. As we keep focused on “There is only One Presence, and One Power active in the universe and in my life God, the Omnipotent Good.”, and the teachings in the book, we are growing. After listening, what is Spirit whispering to you about YOUR message?
It has been a very busy October here at UBA. I would like to acknowledge that there were tons of people giving sacred service this month with the pet blessing, attic sale and Boo & Stew. Sunday we had soup, chili and stew cookers, dessert bakers, game players, a wagon puller, a face painter, piñata players, a card reader, people setting up and cleaning up, trunk or treaters, and lots of us eating. THANK YOU ALL; you are divine!
At the Unity in Community meeting, we shared the following statement: "Unity is a positive, practical, and forward-thinking approach to the teachings of Jesus the Christ, recognizing the divine within each of us, and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions, and respects each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path."
I posted on our FB page a beautiful quote from Jon Kabat-Zinn. “It is indeed a radical act of love just to sit down and be quiet for a time by yourself.” As we process our book materials, this is important - to tune into Divine Mind. The agreements being discussed have to do with belief systems, values and the truth upon which we live our lives.
I’ve been pondering how we get stubborn when circumstances get difficult and in so doing, we set our vibration at NO, NO, NO. When we are at NO instead of YES, we cannot receive the good that seeks to flow into the moment.
We are replacing our rear screen projector in the sanctuary with a large screen TV. Twenty first century technology – how cool is that? After completion we will be able to see the slides on Sunday easily and vividly. Well, there is a catch.
As we celebrate prayer for the next four weeks, I would like to express appreciation for our Chaplains and our prayer team that always hold the high watch for us. They commit to regularly praying, serving at Sunday services, and communicating with friends and members.
